Good morning!
Brrrrr. This house is really, really cold in the morning. I’ve been leaving some of the windows open throughout the night to cool the place down. It feels nice when we head to bed, but then we all wake up with icy toes and noses. When Punkin runs into our room in the morning and crawls in next to me, I feel like I should shove her right back out onto the floor. It wouldn’t be so bad, but she sticks her freeeeezing feet on my legs to warm herself up. Guess I know how Schmoopie feels now. Hmmm. Oh well, I will survive, and our utility bills have yet to bother us…even with the 80-90 degree days we’ve been having. I just make sure to shut the windows in the early afternoon and it has been pretty decent. I’ll keep this up as long as I can!
Not very much going on this week. I will do the normal tasks like helping at Punkin’s school a couple mornings, grocery shopping, and maybe a haircut or three for the kids. Punkin has a friend coming over Friday for a sleepover and hopefully we will do something fun for Mother’s Day. We aren’t big on celebrating “Hallmark Holidays” but maybe we will do something fun. I’m pretty sure the weather will be nice, so maybe we’ll find an activity outside to try. There are so many things to do here, and we’ve hardly tried anything.
I still can’t get over how fun my mini-trip with Bingo was. I really, really enjoyed my time alone with him. I knew I would. Whenever I take one of the girls out with me for a night or a special day, it’s always a blast so I wasn’t really surprised that Bingo and I both enjoyed ourselves. He’s a pretty cool kid, if I do say so myself.
Here are a couple more pictures from Sunday. Bingo and I left Casie and her family early to go find Brian and to start our day. While we waited to talk to him, Bingo and I found another park to hang out at for a few minutes. It was so much fun to just run around with him, shower him with all of my attention and just “talk”. He has such a great personality and absorbed every little thing I said to him. It’s almost as if he matured right in front of my eyes.
He’s a pretty thoughtful little man. He found some large acorns on the ground and picked up one for himself, walked away and then came back to get one for “Mimi” and “Ahhhaaa”. Well, somehow the acorns got lost on the ride home (go figure) but it was the thought that counts, right?

Well, I hope you enjoy those pictures and have a spectacular day! I have a feeling it’s gonna be a good one.
