This week has been busy with Bingo starting preschool on Monday. He insisted on wearing his white socks and brown shoes, so of course I wasn’t going to be the one to break his little heart and tell him that it didn’t look cool. Although, if anyone can pull it off it’s certainly him.

    The girls started school yesterday.

By now, Punkin is an old pro at getting on the bus and making it to her classroom.

Sunshine is the newbie this year and she couldn’t have been more excited.

It was really cute to see how Punkin reacted to her little sister being there. She was very motherly and made sure Sunshine stayed near her.

As Sunshine went up the bus steps, she turned back so I could get the “first time riding the bus” picture. She couldn’t have looked more adorable…even if I do say so myself!

Here she is after school was over. A bit sweaty, but still smiling! That’s our Sunshine.

Hope you enjoyed their first day of school as much as I did. ;)

    Dear Schmoopie~

Nine years. I can’t believe it has been that long since the two of us stood in our backyard in the hot August sun and promised to love one another forever. It has been quite a ride.

From the moment I met you, I had a crush. Never in a million years did I think that my scribbles while working for my dad would ever come true.  I didn’t think I had a chance at winning such a charming, compassionate, handsome, intelligent, funny guy. You are everything to me and not a day goes by (even though I don’t always show it) that I don’t thank my lucky stars to have you in my life.

I came across this quote by Bob Marley and I think it has a lot of truth to it:

There are about a trillion reasons why I love you, but just a few that I am able to tell:

I love you for working hard every day and for being my strength.

I love you for you and for everything you do for our family.

I love you for the sacrifices you made to get me back “home”, where I wanted to raise our children even though it wasn’t easy on you.

I love you for the way you never cease to calm me when I am being irrational and crazy.

I love you for the way you hold our children at just the right time when I can’t take anymore.

I love you for your strength when I am no longer strong enough to carry the load and am spiraling downhill.

I love that I can count on you no matter what, where or when I need something.

I love you – Happy Anniversary!

    XOXO,

    Liz
